So he managed to predict ALL 5 of Wednesdays lottery numbers...

Ok... So...

3 things make how this trick was done very obvious when you know.

1. Derren saying "the lotto have a legal right to show the lotto numbers first"

2. The cardboard that the numbers are written on

3. The wobbley camera shot

All three of these things make the "prediction" look unreal... That's obvious... Because none of 3 above things are required to make a prediction...

Lets ponder these for a second then I promise... I WILL TELL YOU IM 99.9% SURE OF THE REVEAL IM GOING TO TELL! and it was told to me by an expert in the magic world and not only did I beleive this theory as soon as I heard it, BUT... it was so easy and obvious that... On the theory websites NOT one person mentioned it & it's that simple that you will kick yourself and maybe feel abit disappointed when you here it...

That said, I WILL reveal this secret later... I promise...

However; you WILL feel disappointed, trust me... So if you don't wanna know I suggest you stop Reading now...


So..

1. "the lotto have a legal right to show the lotto numbers first"... As many of the websites have guessed - to make a prediction; this rule shouldn't and CANT be applied... BUT, theortically Camelot have never been in this position before... No one has ever sucsessfully guess the lottery in ANY country before (although some have tried) although, the BBC DO actually have a right to display the winning lottery numbers first, but the prediction doesn't have ALL 6 numbers, so this weird law can't possible be applied therefore ... I'm afraid, this is complete miss direction...

This is the reason why derren only "guesses" 5 numbers as apposed to 6...

But what does this have to do with the trick?
Well, it simply means... Derren has gotten out of showing us his "prediction" until the numbers are revealed, and more importantly... Gives him more time to do his stunt.

2. The cardboard that the numbers are written on - there's a few theories here... None of which are true, the electric paper... The laser balls... RUBBISH, it's not derrens style for a start... BUT, the cardboard is CONPLETLY unneeded. THINK OF THIS IF YOU WILL;
why not have the numbers on screen when revealed?

The cardboard is nothing more than a miss direction... The best and most important miss direction in the whole 10 minute show... As without this, you would have easy have noticed the "Prestige",

Try this; watch the video on YouTube, bet you get distracted by brown at least twice when you watch... Thus, taking your eyes off the "prediction"

And even if you turn the volume down and cover the hand up with paper, without knowing the "prestige" it's hard to know what your looking for... CLEVER, Eh?

3. The wobbley camera shot - this isn't as important as you may think.

Basically, as I've been informed; by again... Another experienced Magican...

Derren wanted to destory ANY and EVERY possible theory as he GUESSED the theories MONTHS before the show aired... The way he thought he could get rid of the whole "split screen and body double" theories is by keeping the camera moving...

Firstly the split screen is the most popular, because... The screen jumps, the balls slightly rise... Etc etc...

Coinceidence?

The walk in from the hall into the studio is also a miss direction... To show what?
